If you have ever asked yourself what is the meaning of mathematics, you would appreciate this book. I would say that some of the concepts are interesting to a broader range of people as an example in one instance the authors present evidence for arithmetic ability and understanding using puppets in six-month-old babies, illustrating clearly that some basic mathematics is innate not just not purely a matter of culture. But overall it deals in very complex mathematical thinking and heavy abstraction that would be best suited to someone in the field or very passionate about mathematics.
